Joanna Bell and Katie Hammond established Astoria Clinic in 2015 with the purpose of creating a safe environment for all people wanting to seek assistance for the difficulties experienced in their lives.
The clinic has expanded over this time to include an additional location in North Perth and the addition of skilled and experienced Psychologists invited to join our team at Astoria who share a common philosophy and approach to their clients.
We understand that many people feel nervous about attending counselling, so we ensure that we spend as much time as possible in the first session discussing their goals and motivations for attending therapy and outlining what they can expect from the sessions.
We are committed to working from a client centred approach, which means that therapy is guided by a clients’ individual goals and completely at their own pace. We also utilise a range of interventions to ensure that all clients are met with an individualised therapeutic approach.
We also appreciate working collaboratively (if needed) with your General Practitioner, Psychiatrist or other health provider to ensure that you are receiving an ‘all-round’ approach to care.
Our child and adolescent Psychologists have particular training to provide therapy, counselling and treatment for children and adolescents. Our Psychologists also have particular training in order to provide relationship counselling to couples who feel that they need some help and support to get them back on the road to the relationship that they love.
